This tilt switch sensor contains a small metal ball that will complete a circuit depending on the orientation of the module. The sensor is very basic, and detects changes in its tilt. It cannot measure the angle of its tilt.

There are numerous examples on the internet of code to operate this switch. A search of “KY-020 tilt switch code” will give you numerous examples.

Connection: The ground wire should be connected with the pin near the – on the board. The Data wire should connect to the pin near the S on the board. 5V is connected to the middle pin.
