When arming and disarming your home alarm, have you ever been afraid that someone may be looking over your shoulder and getting your code? With the MK179 Proximity Card Reader this would no longer be a concern. Just wave the access card in front of the coil and you’re done, no codes to remember (or be stolen for later use). In low security setting you can store as many cards as you want. In the high security 64-bit code, you are limited to 25 cards. Easy addition and removal of cards. After you build this kit, you are ready to go as in comes with two cards. The relay output max (24Volts / 3Amps) can be configured for output activation from 0.5 seconds to 4 minutes or toggle (On/Off).
For even higher security, the coil can be moved up to five meters from the board. A home alarm is just one example of its use, you can also use it to arm and disarm alarms systems for your office, car, prevent unauthorized use of equipment , machinery open doors, fences and gates. The MK179 requires a power supply 12 volts at 100mA and is 2.6” x 2.4” x 0.8”.
